Infant (0 - 18 months)

At Tiny Explorers Academy, our small group sizes provide your infant with the opportunity to develop a trusting relationship with the instructors, as well as their peers. We understand your child has individual needs and we ensure these needs are met.

The infant program introduces early concepts of the Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches. These philosophies state that children learn best within a loving and social environment. The instructors at our childcare centre understand this, and help stimulate your child, encouraging them to establish a sense of self.

At our childcare centre, children acquire knowledge by exploring, experimenting, and interacting with the materials and environment around them. Classical music, art, storytelling, and drama are incorporated into our infant programs. Fine motor skills are developed through art and sensory stimulation.

Toddler (18 months - 2.5 years old)

Our toddler program is designed to guide children as they explore the world with wonder. We emphasize trying new things and having fun while learning. Our toddler program is a blend of methods from the Montessori and Reggio Emilia schools of thought. We help children learn and develop in a safe and stimulating environment.

The toddler classroom is designed with various areas of play, including reading areas, puzzle logic game areas, and other sensory stimulating game areas. When planning the direction of projects, the teacher will use the children’s interests as a guide. Music, art, and storytelling are all a regular part of our toddler program’s curriculum. We believe that exposure to classical music can enhance the child’s social, emotional and cognitive skills. Our main focus is to ensure the safety and development of your child.

Preschool (2.5 - 4 years old)

The preschool program features an academic approach to learning. There is more emphasis placed on individual responsibilities and problem solving. Educators use formal learning techniques that help children continue to develop their language, literacy, numeracy, and scientific skills. We do this through experiments, classroom discussions, and small tasks which allow children to explore cognitively, socially, and express emotional development.

Maria Montessori, the founder of the Montessori program, explains that children are capable of developing concentration and self-discipline, and they need an environment that supports the development of these skills. Tiny Explorers Academy provides classrooms equipped with natural furniture, plants, and developmentally appropriate toys and materials. We recognize the individuality of each child and their interests and are committed to providing an environment that helps every child in our preschool program develop a genuine love for learning. We take field trips, nature walks, and conduct in-class experiments. The preschool program includes story time, songs, rhymes, and exposure to classical music, all of which are proven to enhance child development.

We provide a quality program with the best pedagogical approaches to help your preschooler build positive relationships and focus on their social, physical, and emotional development. We are committed to preparing preschoolers for success in their future academic endeavours.
